Is it metal plating?

No, metal plating is an electro-chemical process.  This is a cold spray process that can be applied to virtually any material surface.

Is it a powder coating?

No, powder coating is baked on.  This product may be sprayed, rolled, brushed or poured on.  It may also be cast in solid form.  It is not heat cured
